I am an X-Junky. I read anything Marvel's hawking. There's something about a diverse family of people brought together to fight for what is essentially equal rights. (at least the stories I love)
Right now Marvel's been on this evil kick of using artists that rely REALLY heavily on photo reference.
Adi Granov's heavily posed people.
Simon Bianchi's dizzying lines and shapes.
And Greg Land's porn.
Greg Land's colorist is at least colorful.
But he doesn't exactly challenge himself.
I dunno who I'd pick for X-Men right now, but no one in the community is thrilling me. At least Legacy's being drawn by Scot Eaton.

Whoa... I guess I hadn't really been "x-posed" to much of Land's work. Pretty blatant isn't he? Photo-refs and swipes? Of course, swiping has been the mediums "dirty little secret" since the beginning of time. Detective #27 is full of 'em! At least Granov and Bianchi maintain their photo-ref schtick consistently throughout a given run (in Bianchi's case, consistently dark), but Land's art grates due to his lack of facial consistency from panel to panel! But the kids sure are eating it up, aren't they? I guess there's nothing we can do but cry in our beer and wait for the next hot "talent" to hit the scene. Sigh... Do the "Big 2" even have Art Editors anymore?
Art editors exist?!
